Battery tech can only get better!

electric

Electric tools are a lot more affordable. You don’t have to spend extra money on fuel and winterizing your equipment. Just lock in the battery, and it’s good to go!

With some brands, the batteries can be removed and used across all their products. That means your leaf blower, your lawn mower, and your trimmer use the same battery. You only have to make sure it’s charged.

Companies are making the shift. Home Depot announced that most of its lawn equipment will go electric by 2028.

Electric is quieter. Even the noisiest electric tools are quieter than the quietest gas-powered tools!

rakes

Use a rake to clean up the leaves on your lawn, and give your grass some room to breathe. This allows it to grow better and look better.

You can also use a rake alongside a leaf blower to finish up the job.

Leave the leaves!

rethink lawncare

The leaves act as habitats for tiny creatures and microorganisms.

Also, the nutrients in the leaves can nourish the soil next cycle once they’ve decomposed. This encourages biodiversity.

If you still wish to get rid of the leaves, consider adding them to a compost bin for future use. Mulch is valuable! You can also use a lawn mower to break the leaves up into smaller pieces to speed up the process.
